1. Kapsam

Bu politika; Okumanya web paneli (oku.okumanya.com.tr), Okumanya iOS ve Android uygulamaları ile okumanya.com.tr web sitesi aracılığıyla işlenen kişisel verileri kapsar. Kişisel verileriniz 6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu (KVKK) ve ilgili mevzuata uygun olarak işlenir.

2. Veri sorumlusu

Okumanya, EduMind Eğitim Teknolojileri tarafından geliştirilir ve işletilir. KVKK kapsamında veri sorumlusu EduMind Eğitim Teknolojileri'dir.

Okumanya'yı kullanan okullar, kendi öğrenci, veli ve personel verilerini platforma aktardıkları ölçüde bu verilerin sorumluluğunu ayrıca taşır.

3. Hangi verileri işliyoruz

Platformu öğrenciler, veliler, öğretmenler ve okul yöneticileri kullanır. Kullanıcının rolüne göre aşağıdaki veriler işlenebilir:

4. Verileri nasıl topluyoruz

• Okul aracılığıyla: Öğrenci, veli ve öğretmen hesapları okul tarafından açılır ya da okulun kullandığı kurum sistemlerinden (tek oturum açma ile) aktarılır.
• Kullanıcının kendisinden: Platformu kullanırken girilen içerikler; örneğin ses kayıtları, öyküler, cevaplar, mesajlar ve profil fotoğrafı.
• Otomatik olarak: Okuma ilerlemesi, giriş ve oturum bilgileri ile teknik kayıtlar platform kullanılırken oluşur.

5. Amaçlar ve hukuki sebepler

Kişisel verileri şu amaçlarla işleriz:

• Okuma, dinleme, sesli okuma ve yazma hizmetlerini sunmak; hesapları yönetmek.
• Öğretmenin görev vermesini ve takip etmesini, öğrencinin gelişiminin öğretmen, veli ve okul ile raporlanmasını sağlamak.
• Öğrencinin sınıf seviyesine uygun kitapları önermek.
• Sesli okumaları akıcılık ve telaffuz yönünden, öyküleri yazım ve içerik güvenliği yönünden değerlendirmek.
• Platformun güvenliğini sağlamak, kötüye kullanımı önlemek, hataları tespit edip gidermek.
• Mevzuattan doğan yükümlülükleri yerine getirmek.

Bu işlemler KVKK'nın 5. maddesinde sayılan hukuki sebeplere, özellikle okul ile yapılan sözleşmenin ifası, hukuki yükümlülüklerin yerine getirilmesi ve hizmetin güvenliği için meşru menfaat sebeplerine dayanır. Açık rıza gerektiren durumlarda rıza okul ve veli aracılığıyla alınır.

Kişisel veriler reklam, profil çıkarma yoluyla pazarlama veya üçüncü kişilere satış amacıyla kullanılmaz.

6. Kimlerle paylaşıyoruz

Okul içinde

Öğretmenler ve okul yöneticileri yetkili oldukları sınıf ve öğrencilerin verilerini görür. Veliler yalnızca kendi çocuklarının verilerini görür.

Hizmet sağlayıcılar

Hizmeti sunabilmek için aşağıdaki hizmet sağlayıcılarla, yalnızca ilgili işin gerektirdiği ölçüde veri paylaşırız:

Bu hizmet sağlayıcıların bir kısmının sunucuları yurt dışındadır (örneğin OpenAI Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nde, Sentry Avrupa Birliği'nde). Yurt dışına veri aktarımı KVKK'nın 9. maddesine uygun olarak yapılır.

Yetkili kurumlar

Kanunen zorunlu olduğu durumlarda veriler yetkili kamu kurum ve kuruluşlarıyla paylaşılabilir.

7. Çocukların verileri

Okumanya 04–18 yaş arası öğrencilere yöneliktir ve okullar aracılığıyla kullanılır. Öğrenci hesapları okul tarafından açılır; öğrencinin kişisel verileri okul ve veli bilgisi dahilinde işlenir. Öğrencilere reklam gösterilmez ve öğrenci verileri pazarlama amacıyla kullanılmaz. Veliler, çocuklarının verilerine ilişkin haklarını okul aracılığıyla ya da doğrudan bize başvurarak kullanabilir.

8. Saklama süresi

Kişisel veriler, hesap aktif olduğu ve okul ile hizmet ilişkisi sürdüğü müddetçe saklanır. Bu süre sona erdiğinde veya işleme amacı ortadan kalktığında veriler, mevzuatta öngörülen saklama süreleri saklı kalmak kaydıyla silinir, yok edilir veya anonim hâle getirilir.

9. Güvenlik

Verilerinizi korumak için teknik ve idari tedbirler alırız: web paneli ve mobil uygulama ile sunucularımız arasındaki iletişim HTTPS ile şifrelenir, parolalar açık metin olarak saklanmaz, verilere erişim kullanıcının rolüne ve kapsamına göre sınırlandırılır.

10. Çerezler ve yerel depolama

Okumanya web paneli yalnızca oturumu açık tutmak için zorunlu çerezler ve tarayıcının yerel depolamasını kullanır. Reklam veya izleme amaçlı çerez kullanılmaz.

11. Mobil uygulama izinleri

• Mikrofon: Sesli okuma görevlerinde okunan sayfaları kaydetmek için.
• Kamera ve fotoğraflar: Profil fotoğrafı çekmek veya seçmek için.

İzin verilmezse yalnızca ilgili özellik kullanılamaz; uygulamanın geri kalanı çalışmaya devam eder. İzinler cihaz ayarlarından her zaman geri alınabilir.

12. Haklarınız ve başvuru

KVKK'nın 11. maddesi uyarınca herkes, bize başvurarak kendisiyle ilgili:

• kişisel veri işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme,
• işlenmişse buna ilişkin bilgi talep etme,
• işlenme amacını ve amacına uygun kullanılıp kullanılmadığını öğrenme,
• yurt içinde veya yurt dışında aktarıldığı üçüncü kişileri bilme,
• eksik veya yanlış işlenmişse düzeltilmesini isteme,
• KVKK'nın 7. maddesindeki şartlar çerçevesinde silinmesini veya yok edilmesini isteme,
• düzeltme ve silme işlemlerinin aktarıldığı üçüncü kişilere bildirilmesini isteme,
• münhasıran otomatik sistemlerle analiz edilmesi sonucu aleyhine bir sonucun ortaya çıkmasına itiraz etme,
• kanuna aykırı işleme sebebiyle zarara uğraması hâlinde zararın giderilmesini talep etme

haklarına sahiptir. Başvurularınızı okul@okumanya.com.tr adresine iletebilirsiniz. Başvurular en geç 30 gün içinde ücretsiz olarak sonuçlandırılır.

13. Hesap ve veri silme

Öğrenci, veli ve öğretmen hesapları okul tarafından yönetilir. Hesabınızın ve ilgili verilerinizin silinmesini okulunuz aracılığıyla ya da okul@okumanya.com.tr adresine yazarak isteyebilirsiniz. Talebinizde ad, soyad ve okulunuzu belirtmeniz yeterlidir; kimliğinizi doğruladıktan sonra hesabınız ve kişisel verileriniz, mevzuatın saklamamızı zorunlu kıldığı kayıtlar dışında silinir.

14. Değişiklikler

Bu politikayı gerektiğinde güncelleyebiliriz. Güncel sürüm her zaman bu sayfada yayımlanır ve sayfanın başındaki tarih değişir.

1. Scope

This policy covers personal data processed through the Okumanya web panel (oku.okumanya.com.tr), the Okumanya iOS and Android apps and the okumanya.com.tr website. Personal data is processed in accordance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and related legislation.

2. Data controller

Okumanya is developed and operated by EduMind Eğitim Teknolojileri, which is the data controller under the KVKK.

Schools using Okumanya are separately responsible for the student, parent and staff data they transfer to the platform.

3. Data we process

The platform is used by students, parents, teachers and school administrators. Depending on the user's role, the following data may be processed:

• Through the school: Student, parent and teacher accounts are created by the school or transferred from the school's own systems via single sign-on.
• From the user: Content entered while using the platform, such as voice recordings, stories, answers, messages and a profile photo.
• Automatically: Reading progress, sign-in and session data and technical logs are generated while the platform is used.

5. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data to:

• provide reading, listening, read-aloud and writing services and manage accounts;
• let teachers assign and follow tasks, and report a student's progress to the teacher, parent and school;
• recommend books suited to the student's grade level;
• assess read-aloud recordings for fluency and pronunciation, and stories for writing quality and content safety;
• keep the platform secure, prevent misuse and find and fix errors;
• meet our legal obligations.

Processing relies on the legal bases in Article 5 of the KVKK, in particular performance of the contract with the school, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. Where explicit consent is required, it is obtained through the school and the parent.

Personal data is not used for advertising, profiling for marketing or sale to third parties.

6. Who we share data with

Within the school

Teachers and school administrators see data for the classes and students they are authorised for. Parents see only their own child's data.

Service providers

To provide the service we share data with the following providers, only to the extent the task requires:

Some of these providers have servers outside Türkiye (for example OpenAI in the United States and Sentry in the European Union). International transfers are carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK.

Authorities

Data may be shared with competent public authorities where required by law.

7. Children's data

Okumanya is intended for students aged 4–18 and is used through schools. Student accounts are created by the school, and a student's personal data is processed with the knowledge of the school and the parent. Students are not shown ads and student data is not used for marketing. Parents can exercise their rights regarding their child's data through the school or by contacting us directly.

8. Retention

Personal data is kept while the account is active and the service relationship with the school continues. When this ends or the purpose no longer applies, data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised, subject to any retention periods required by law.

9. Security

We take technical and organisational measures to protect your data: communication between the web panel or mobile app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are not stored in plain text, and access to data is limited by the user's role and scope.

10. Cookies and local storage

The Okumanya web panel uses only cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in, and the browser's local storage. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

11. Mobile app permissions

• Microphone: to record pages read aloud in read-aloud tasks.
• Camera and photos: to take or choose a profile photo.

If a permission is declined, only that feature is unavailable; the rest of the app keeps working. Permissions can be revoked at any time in the device settings.

12. Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; request information about it; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties it is transferred to in Türkiye or abroad; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7; request that corrections and deletions be notified to those third parties; object to a decision against you resulting solely from automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Send your requests to okul@okumanya.com.tr. Requests are answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest.

13. Account and data deletion

Student, parent and teacher accounts are managed by the school. You can request deletion of your account and related data through your school or by writing to okul@okumanya.com.tr. Include your name and school; after verifying your identity, your account and personal data are deleted, except for records we are legally required to keep.

14. Changes

We may update this policy when needed. The current version is always published on this page and the date at the top changes.
